Participants: The contest is open to any MSc / PhD students registered at a UK University. Applications are limited to 2 students per university.
 
Further Requirements: A letter of support will be needed from the students supervisor and should be forwarded to the contact above
 

Task:

  1. Students will be presented with a precision engineering problem in written form when they arrive at Cranfield for the test. No prior information will be provided.
  2. They will be given 1 hour to study the problem and develop a 5 minute presentation of their proposed solution.
  3. The presentation should explain the proposed solution and provide reasoning as to why it is the ideal. Marks will be given for precision engineering quality, innovation and presentation skills.
