The European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) is the largest European site and the technical heart of European Space Agency (ESA). The incubator of the European space effort, it is based in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
Programme
| 08.45* | Coach departs with delegates booked on the tour from the Hampshire Hotel in Delft |
| 09.05 to 09.15* | Coach will pick up delegates booked on the tour who are staying in the Hague from in front of the monument of King William II at the Buitenhof |
| 10.00 | Arrival at Space Expo (ESTEC's visitors centre), followed by welcome by Robert Willemson with an introduction to ESA and its Technical Centre ESTEC . |
| 10.45 | Presentation - "Space Precision Mechanisms Developed in ESA" by Pierre Coste, D/Tec |
| 11.15 | Presentation - "Technology Transfer" by Nield Eldering, D/Tec |
| 11.45 | Tour of Space Expo |
| 12.15 | Transfer to ESTEC Test Centre by space train |
| 12.30 | Tour of Test Centre |
| 13.15 | Transfer back to Space Expo |
| 14.00 | Departure by coach for Schipol Airport with lunch at the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel (arrival at approx. 14.30hrs). The Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel is about 5 minutes walking distance (by covered walkway) to the arrival & departure halls of Schipol Airport. |
